Russell N. Oakley, MD

Russell N. Oakley, MD has been a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for more than 17 years. He earned his Medical Degree from Penn State University in Hershey, PA. He completed his Internship in General Surgery and Residency in Orthopedic Surgery from Penn State University as well.   After fulfilling a 3 year obligation to the US Navy, he moved to Spokane in 1991.  He presently practices general orthopedics with special interest in minimally invasive total hip replacement, reconstruction of the injured wrist, wrists and shoulder arthroscopy and double bundle ACL reconstruction.

 

Dr. Oakley is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Washington State Orthopedic Society, Washington State Medical Association, and Spokane County Medical Association. 

 

Dr. Oakley's wife Anne Oakley MD is an anesthesiologist at Sacred Heart Hospital.  His daughter is at Montana State University and son is at Lewis and Clark High school.

Dr. Oakley and his family participated in skiing, climbing and triathlons.  They are also involved with the youth ministries of their church.
