 Arnold G. Peterson, MD has nearly 30 years of experience as a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine at Seattle. Dr. Peterson completed a Straight Medical Internship at the University of Texas and his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Washington. Additionally, Dr. Peterson completed an AO Fellowship at Kantonsspital in Basel, Switzerland. While completing his studies, he was awarded the Outstanding Student in Pediatrics, Outstanding Student in Surgery, and the Orthopedic Resident Anatomy Award. In 2006, Dr. Peterson received the Physician Partner of the Year Award from the VNA and in 2007, the United Health Premium Physician Designation. Dr. Peterson is a Veteran of the United States Army.
Dr. Peterson is a member of the Washington State Medical Association, Spokane County Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
Dr. Peterson serves as Co Team Physician for Gonzaga University and the team physician for Spokane Community Colleges, as well as the coordinator for the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Instruction for Spokane Family Practice Residency. In addition Dr. Peterson has been selected as one of the Best Doctors in Spokane and one of The Best Doctors in America.
